Steven Schmith

Steve leads marketing for Deloitte’s Automotive practice, helping build Deloitte’s brand and client relationships with companies throughout the automotive value chain, including original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), suppliers, and dealers. He is a member of the Automotive practice research and insights team that is responsible for developing the Firm’s points of view on industry trends, including insights on autonomous and electric vehicles, shifting consumer expectations, and evolving mobility solutions. He is also responsible for managing the Automotive practice’s relationships with the various trade groups and trade publications the Firm collaborates with in the market. Steve joined Deloitte in 2003, and past areas of responsibility include leading marketing and co-authoring research under the Firm’s Global Manufacturing Competitiveness Initiative, and leading account marketing for two of the Firm’s largest global automotive OEM clients. Prior to joining Deloitte, Steve worked in communications for an automotive supplier. He started his career with the Downtown St. Louis Partnership. In his free time, Steve serves as the president of the Worden Public Library District in Worden, IL and advisor to the Edwardsville Robotics Club/FIRST Robotics
