Dave Matsuda is a D.C.-based consultant, serving a variety of clients in the transportation and defense sectors. He coordinates the Small Shipyard Grant Coalition (www.smallshipyards.com) and assists shipyards with pursuing funding opportunities for their capital projects. From 2009-2013, he served as U.S. Maritime Administrator, capping off a career in federal service that took him from various roles with the U.S. Department of Transportation and the U.S. Senate. He earned his engineering degree from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, Calif., and law degree from University of San Diego School of Law. Matsuda currently resides in Washington, D.C.
