RIVERBOAT TOUR OF THE ST. LOUIS REGION’S FREIGHT ASSETS AND OPPORTUNITIES

Location: Gateway Riverboat Cruises, 50 S. Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd., 62102; Downtown St. Louis Riverfront
Date: Monday, May 20
Shuttles:  12:30-3:00 p.m. (12:30 p.m. boarding, 12:45 p.m. pick-up and drop-off from Convention Plaza (Entry A), 1:00 p.m. arrival)

Come get a first-hand look at the Ag Coast of America, a key reason why the St. Louis metropolitan region is quickly becoming one of the nation’s premier freight centers. Join the St. Louis Regional Freightway on a special riverboat tour on the Mississippi River for an up-close look at the roads, bridges, ports, facilities and infrastructure that make up the bi-state area’s multimodal freight network. A lunch buffet aboard the riverboat is included in the tour. Space is limited. Separate registration is required.

NOTE: In the event of flooding and/or high river levels that would prevent access to the boat or cruising at all, the tour would be cancelled, and all monies refunded.

AIDS TO NAVIGATION AND CHANNEL MAINTENANCE – U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS AND UNITED STATES COAST GUARD

Date: Tuesday, May 21, 2019
Shuttles:  1:00-3:30 p.m. (1:00 p.m. boarding, 1:15 p.m. pick-up/drop-off from Convention Plaza (Entry A), 1:30 p.m. arrival)

Registration for this event is now closed.

 

Learn about river dredging management and tour U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Army Corps of Engineer vessels. This tour will provide an educational opportunity and allow attendees a behind-the-scenes look at some of the Corps’ and Coast Guard’s day-to-day operations and missions. Due to the infrastructure, not all parts of the tour are ADA accessible.

Pre-registration and security clearance required. All attendees required to show a government issued photo ID upon boarding. Registration closed on April 21.

NOTE: In the event of flooding and/or high river levels that would prevent access to the vessels, the tour would be cancelled, and all monies refunded.
