Larry McAdoo was born and raised in western Pennsylvania. After college, he moved to Montana and became a fly fishing guide. From there, he got into heavy equipment sales in the Northwest, primarily working with companies that focused on superfund clean-ups. McAdoo then went to for Link-Belt, covering the U.S. and specializing in the material handling part of the business. In 2004, Link-Belt relocated him to Florida to work with the Southeast region.
