What is IMX2020 Virtual?

IMX2020 Virtual is 100% online event that will connect customers, suppliers and colleagues across the intracoastal waterways.  IMX2020 Virtual will debut the week of September 28th with live events ending on Thursday, October 1st.  Event registration is FREE and will be available beginning on Tuesday, August 25th until Thursday, October 1st.

I registered for IMX2020, will it carry over to IMX2020 Virtual?

Registration fees paid for IMX2020 may be rolled over to IMX2021 or transferred to a 1-year subscription to The Waterways Journal.  The registration transfer form can be found here.

Please re-register for IMX2020 Virtual.  Registration will open on Tuesday, August 25.  The new virtual platform provides opportunities to select the education sessions that most interest you and build your individual profile to assist in networking and conducting business.

 

How much does it cost to attend IMX2020 Virtual?

Can I watch IMX2020 Virtual from my smartphone or tablet?

Yes, IMX2020 Virtual will be mobile responsive.  You can participate from any desktop, laptop, smartphone or tablet that is connected to the internet.

 

What connection speed do I need to participate in this online event?

How do I sign up for education sessions?

You will not need to sign up for individual sessions.  You will only need to sign in once upon entering.

 

I completed the IMX2020 Virtual registration form online, should I have received a confirmation message?

Yes, everyone who registers will receive a confirmation email with important information.

How will attendees and IMX2020 Virtual exhibitors interact?

IMX2020 Virtual will feature a 3D digital tradeshow where attendees and exhibitors can share information, view videos and sales materials, chat live, create appointments and make new connections just like IMX face to face.

 

How do I create appointments with virtual attendees?

Appointments can be created in the Exhibitor Service Center.  Your login credentials will be emailed to you soon.  (Please check “Junk” email if you have not received the email.) Each exhibiting company will need to fill out the profile questions, block off any times they’re unavailable for appointments, and use the search tab to find attendees to meet with.

Once an appointment is made, the exhibiting company will need to assign a booth staff to the appointment so that attendees know who they will be meeting with. The booth staff can add appointments to their google calendars.

IMX2020 Virtual Event Staff will send a comprehensive toolkit with all-encompassing information and will be available to assist.

 

Will the education sessions, product demo videos, exhibitor materials be available post-event?

Yes, education session videos will be available post-event. More information to follow.

Additionally, attendees who visit your e-booth and click on exhibiting materials (documents, videos, etc.) will automatically be sent to their attendee ebag for continued reference.

How many of our staff can join our virtual exhibit booth?

Just as with the face to face IMX, exhibitors have 3 booth staff per 10×10 of exhibit space. (3)10×10; (6) 10×20; (12) 20×20

How do I create and edit my online company profile, booth space and what is the timeline for completion?

To build your online trade show booth, you will need to access the Exhibitor Service Center.  Your login credentials will be emailed to you soon.

Once inside the Exhibitor Service Center, click on the Virtual Exhibit Setup tab on the left.  The Virtual Exhibit Setup screen will indicate what items (images, documents, video, etc.) are to be added.  Specs and size limits for these uploaded components can be found here.

Please plan to have your uploads completed by Tuesday, September 22 so that the IMX Virtual team can put the finishing touches on the trade show layout.

 

What kind/size of materials can I share in my virtual exhibit booth?

Can I hold a live demo in my booth?

Live demos are not offered at the virtual booth but exhibiting companies do have the option to purchase a webinar (30 minute intervals). Additionally, each exhibiting company has the opportunity to post pre-recorded videos in their booth profile. Please contact your salesperson for further info on the webinars.

 

What are the hours of the virtual tradeshow/ what is the time commitment?

Appointment Setting/Tradeshow Preview:

Tuesday, 9/29 10am-3pm

Virtual Tradeshow Hours:

Wednesday, 9/30    10am-4pm

Thursday, 10/1     10am-4pm
