Randy Moore, Senior Port Captain, Golding Barge Line

Randy Moore began his maritime career in 2008, right out of high school, as a green deckhand for Golding Barge Line. Through hard work and dedication, he advanced through the ranks of mate, pilot, and eventually captain. Originally from southwest Tennessee, he moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi, in 2021 to start his shoreside career as port captain for Golding Barge Line.

He and his wife, Addi, have four children: Kaylynn (14), Randall (11), Ollie (8), and Sheppard (4 months). He is very thankful for the lessons he has learned and the experiences this job has provided him, both professionally and personally.
