Amanda Davenport, Executive Director, Eddyville Riverport & Industrial Development Authority

 

Amanda Davenport serves as executive director of the Eddyville Riverport, where she leads efforts to expand river-based logistics and industrial development in western Kentucky. She is the past chair of the Kentucky Association for Economic Development and a member of the Kentucky Water Transportation Advisory Board. She has spent the past decade advancing economic growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and rural Kentucky.

Davenport specializes in site development, infrastructure investment and strategic partnerships to drive industry attraction and business expansion. She is a strong advocate for regionalism and the role of inland waterways in economic development. Her work includes securing funding for port improvements, enhancing multimodal transportation options and supporting manufacturing and logistics growth.

A native Texan now rooted in rural west Kentucky, Davenport holds a Bachelor of Arts from Murray State University and an MBA from Texas Woman’s University. She lives on a small farm with her husband, Joe, and daughter, Cora. She enjoys cooking spicy food and taking care of far too many houseplants.
