Jamie Bigbie, Vice President of Operations, River Division, Southern Devall

Jamie Bigbie is the vice president of operations of the river division for Southern Devall, overseeing the operational readiness of the company’s towing vessels on the Western Rivers System. Prior to the merger of Southern Towing Company and Devall Towing, he was the director of health, safety, security, environmental, quality and training for Southern Towing Company. In that capacity, he oversaw the implementation of Subchapter M on Southern Towing’s twenty-eight vessels. Prior to joining Southern Towing, Bigbie served for 26 years in the U.S. Coast Guard as a marine safety professional, culminating with serving as the Chief of Prevention at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans. Bigbie holds a master’s degree in transportation policy, operations, and logistics from George Mason University.
