Justin Lampert

Justin Lampert serves as senior manager – Midcontinent Office for the American Waterways Operators (AWO), the U.S trade association for the tugboat, towboat and barge industry. In his role, he cultivates relationships with federal, state and local government officials to advance AWO’s policy objectives, leads advocacy initiatives in AWO’s Midwest and Ohio Valley regions and collaborates with Coast Guard field units to protect and enhance navigation on the inland waterways and Great Lakes. In addition, Lampert co-chairs the Mid-America Regional Quality Steering Committee, staffs the River Industry Executive Task Force and serves as a navigation stakeholder on the Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee.

Prior to joining AWO in 2016, Lampert worked for eight years on Capitol Hill for former Speaker of the House John Boehner. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Dayton. Lampert lives with his wife and two daughters in Columbus, Ohio.
