Ron Harrison

Ron Harrison, Dispatcher, Bellaire Harbor Service

Ron Harrison began his river journey at the age of 12, working at his dad’s pleasure boat marina. The family operated the marina until 1994. He started working part-time in the industry in 1990, the same year he graduated from college. By 1994, he transitioned to full-time work alongside his brother, Bob.

In August 1997, Harrison earned his license and maintained the fleets primarily in the Silver Grove area on the Ohio River until 2005. Since then, he has been with Bellaire Harbor Service, focusing on compliance and Subchapter M.

Harrison has been married for more than 33 years and is the proud father of four beautiful daughters and grandfather to two wonderful grandchildren.

With 48 years of experience on the river, he continues to contribute to the maritime industry with dedication and expertise.
