Mike Breslin, Director of Safety & Sustainability, American Waterways Operators 

Michael Breslin is the senior director of safety and sustainability for the American Waterways Operators (AWO). Breslin began his maritime career in 2009 as a deckhand for a New Orleans-based barge fleeting and repair company. Coming shoreside in 2011 provided Breslin the opportunity to work in logistics, safety, compliance, claims and operations before joining AWO in 2021. He is a member of We Work the Waterways’ advisory panel and an active member of the National Safety Council’s Waterborne Transportation Group, the New Orleans Mariners Club, the International Propellor Club and ADMIRALTY.
