Kelly Teichman, Executive Chairman, T & T Group of Companies

 

With more than 20 years of experience managing emergency response operations at T&T Marine Salvage, Kelly Teichman is a seasoned leader in the marine industry. She played a pivotal role as a lead member of the Teichman Group COVID-19 Task Force, demonstrating expertise in crisis management and coordination during challenging times. Having coordinated logistical support for more than 1,000 oil spill and salvage operations, Teichman brings a wealth of experience in managing complex marine emergencies and overseeing regulatory compliance for a fleet of U.S. towing vessels and oil spill recovery barges.

Recognized as an expert in marine response documentation and contracting, Teichman has also served as an experienced incident command system planning and logistics section chief. She has been honored with several prestigious awards, including the U.S. Coast Guard Certificate of Merit. Additionally, she has contributed to numerous industry initiatives, including serving as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Houston-Galveston Port Coordination Team and the USACE Navigation Restoration Team in Galveston and the New Orleans District.

As a passionate advocate for maritime safety and environmental stewardship, Teichman has held leadership roles across multiple industry organizations. She has been a key member of the American Waterways Operators’ Leadership and Executive Committee, serving as immediate past chairman (2025-2026) and chairman (2024-2025). She also served as co-chair of the Environmental Stewardship Sub-Committee and a member of the Safety Leadership Advisory Panel. Furthermore, she has been involved with the Gulf Intracoastal Canal Association, the Texas Waterways Association and several other maritime organizations, enhancing collaboration across the marine industry.

Recognized for her leadership and influence, Teichman was named Galveston Women’s Conference 2020 Woman of the Year and was featured in Marine Log’s Top Women in Maritime (2024). She was also named to the Galveston Daily News’ 2025 Women of Influence list.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Teichman remains committed to community engagement, serving on the board of visitors at Texas A&M University, Galveston Campus, and as a member of various committees that foster local economic and social development.
