Errin Howard

Errin Howard is program director for We Work The Waterways, a national education outreach program for the maritime, shipping and logistics industries based at Inland Rivers, Ports and Terminals. She began her career in the river industry as an educator in a booth at the Tall Stacks festival in Cincinnati, Ohio, for the first public presentation of RiverWorks Discovery in 2006. She served as RWD’s executive director until December 2023. This adventure began with a single sponsor and the vision of Mark Knoy, who at the time was president of American Electric Power’s river operations. During her tenure, Howard promoted, marketed and oversaw all aspects of RiverWorks Discovery. Based in Cincinnati, she has served on the board of directors for the Central Ohio River Business Association since 2018 and was elected chair in November 2023. Howard has a passion for the river industry and the people who make it what it is.
