Liz Dassouki

Liz Dassouki is a broker with Compass Maritime, focusing on business development and expanding Compass Maritime’s reach within the inland tug and barge liquid and dry bulk markets. She began her maritime career in 2012, working her way up through the ranks at various owners from dispatching to becoming vice president of sales. Since joining Compass Maritime, Dassouki has been able to use her knowledge and experience and bring a new perspective to the market. With tremendous support from Compass Maritime, she has been able to work closely with WIMOs, striving to help make a positive and lasting impact for the women of our industry. She looks forward to making both WIMOs and Compass Maritime household names synonymous with success and leadership within the maritime industry. Dassouki is always looking for ways to help others get involved and to help educate and elevate women within our industry, whether new or seasoned industry veterans. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from DePaul University, as well as a minor in Spanish from her time studying abroad in Madrid. Dassouki grew up in Chicago but has called Houston home since 2009.
